Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 2026 · Operated by Slifter Digital Agency, Uyo, Nigeria

This Privacy Policy explains what information Slifter Digital Agency ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit this website (the "Site"), how we use it, and the choices you have. We've written this to describe what the Site actually does, not a generic template, so it should match your real experience using it.

1. Information We Collect

a) When you use the contact form

If you fill out and submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, email address, phone number (if given), subject, and message. This is sent directly to our business inbox via a transactional email service (Resend, see Section 4) so we can respond to you. We don't store these submissions in a separate marketing database or add you to a mailing list without your explicit consent.

b) When you message us on WhatsApp

Buttons on this Site that open WhatsApp hand you off to your own WhatsApp app or WhatsApp Web, pre-filled with a message if you came from certain sections. Once that conversation starts, it takes place entirely within WhatsApp, operated by Meta Platforms, Inc., and is governed by WhatsApp's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, not this page. We don't receive anything through this route that WhatsApp itself doesn't deliver to us as a normal message.

c) Information collected automatically

Like virtually any website, basic technical information (such as your IP address, browser type, and general request information) passes through our hosting provider, Cloudflare, as a normal part of serving you this page and keeping it secure and fast. This Site does not currently use its own tracking cookies, advertising pixels, or third-party analytics scripts. If that changes in the future, for example if we add an analytics tool, we'll update this policy to reflect it before doing so.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form
  • To discuss, scope, and deliver work you've asked us about
  • To keep the Site secure and functioning correctly (handled by our hosting provider)

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

Where applicable data protection law requires a stated legal basis (including under Nigeria's Data Protection Act 2023), we rely on your consent, given by voluntarily submitting the contact form, and our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries about our services. This section is provided for general transparency rather than a formal legal determination; if you have specific compliance questions, we'd recommend independent legal advice, as we're not acting as your lawyer here.

4. Third Parties We Rely On

Running this Site means a small number of trusted service providers process data on our behalf, strictly to make the Site and its contact form work:

ServiceWhat it does
CloudflareHosts this website and processes requests to keep it fast and secure
ResendDelivers contact form submissions to our email inbox
WhatsApp (Meta Platforms, Inc.)Handles any conversation you choose to start via our WhatsApp buttons, under their own policy

These providers may process data on servers located outside Nigeria as part of their normal global infrastructure. We've chosen providers with established security practices, but we'd encourage you to review their own privacy policies if you'd like more detail on how they individually handle data.

5. Data Retention

Contact form submissions are retained in our email inbox for as long as reasonably needed to respond to you and maintain a record of the enquiry, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. We don't maintain a separate, indefinite database of visitor submissions.

6. Cookies

This Site does not currently set tracking or advertising cookies. Some functionality (such as the mobile navigation menu) may rely on your browser's normal local session behavior, which isn't used to track you across visits or other websites.

7. Children's Privacy

This Site is intended for business use by adults seeking design and development services, and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Rights

You can ask us, at any time, to:

  • Tell you what information we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate information
  • Delete information we hold about you, where we're not required to keep it for a legitimate reason

To make any of these requests, contact us using the details in Section 10.

9. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect information submitted through this Site, including relying on Cloudflare's security infrastructure and HTTPS encryption for all traffic to and from the Site. That said, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.

10. Contact Us

Questions about this Privacy Policy, or requests regarding your information, can be sent to slifterd.agency@gmail.com or via WhatsApp at +234 903 023 8143.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example if we add new functionality such as analytics or a payment system. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We'd encourage checking back periodically if you have an ongoing relationship with us.
